Description:
This apartment is ideal for a small family or 2 couples who want an excellent location at a budget price. We don't pretend that it's very smart or in pristine condition. In fact it has quite a worn air! But it's clean, warm and comfortable.
The accommodation is on the second floor (there is a lift) of a 1950s purpose built complex on the borders of Belgravia and Pimlico - this convenient position has attracted some high profile permanent residents from the world of politics and the media. Nearest tube is Sloane Square (District and Circle lines) about 5 minutes walk, and Victoria with its main line station is not much further.
The flat accommodates 4 in a double bedroom and on a sofa bed in the living room. There's one bathroom. The living room (14ft6 x 12ft6, 4.4m x 3.8m) has a comfortable 2 seater sofa (which turns into a 4ft6 double bed), an arm chair, a desk, the dining table (normally used as an extension to the desk) and a couple of chairs. There are 2 further dining chairs in the flat. There's a stereo system with classical and pop music from the 60s to the 80s.
The kitchen has all the normal appliances including a microwave (but no dishwasher). There's a washer/dryer.
The bedroom (12ft x 12ft, 3.7m x 3.7m) has a 4ft6 double bed and the TV normally lives here. The bathroom has a bath with an over shower, basin and loo. This is a fine location. You are 5 minutes from Sloane Square and the start of the buzzy Kings Road. Are you into antiques? Walk along Pimlico Road where you will find over 30 fine antique and carpet shops. For restaurants try Oliveto in Elizabeth Street or, a block away and slightly more expensive, its sister restaurant Olivo. At Orange Square (2 minutes away) you'll find Mozart Terrace and the house where he wrote his earliest compositions at the age of 7. Opposite is La Poule au Pot, claimed by some to be one of London's most romantic restaurants!
