We stayed at Darren’s apartment for a week finding it to be a good base in which to visit London.
The apartment is large with outstanding views of the river and is very quiet at night. The area where the flat is situated is safe but it is a residential area not the London tourist centre.
It has a good Wi Fi connection which kept our teenaged daughter happy and also came in useful for pre checking places we intended to visit. Darren also meets you which is nice as too often these holiday apartment owners are faceless people.
There is a large Morrison’s within 10 minutes walking distance and also a large Matalan directly opposite the Morrison’s. It also has a newsagents and an Indian take away just across the road where the food is excellent.
Getting into London is easy as trains are about every ten to fifteen minutes, taking around 30 minutes to London Bridge or a little further on to Cannon Street Station. We would buy a day pass costing £22 for two adults and one...
