We booked the barn for a family holiday, as my grandparents wanted us all to go away as a family together.
We arrived to the barn and were able to park right outside, and were able to get straight inside. There was an overwhelming smell of bleach, so we knew the place had been cleaned. However it was very strong and did give us a bit of a headache!
The owners had left us some milk, bacon, eggs and bread etc which was really useful, as we hadn't had a chance to shop on the way to the barn. The kitchen was huge, with lots of work surfaces but the oven was small and old, and the dishes & oven pans were really old and dirty as I guess previous guests hadn't cleaned them properly. We actually bought our own ovenware to use whilst we were there.
The rooms were spacious and well equipped, however we all felt the mattresses could do with replacing as they were quite old, sweat-stained and a little uncomfortable - the sheets were very clean and freshly wash &... more
