104 Orchard Street is an attractive, retro-styled period cottage set right on the edge of Chichester city centre in West Sussex. The eclectic mix of interior furnishings give the cottage a real character of its own.

Backing on to the historic city walls, 104 Orchard Steet has a semi open-plan ground floor with a sitting room at the front of the cottage leading through to a dining room. This then leads to a kitchen at the back of the cottage which has a cooker and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and a washing machine. There is also a toilet on the ground floor. There is a TV and DVD player in the living room and Wi-Fi internet access is available.

The attractive cottage garden is accessed through a small conservatory and this garden backs on to Chichester's city walls whi...

My husband and I stayed here for a week. It is a fairly quick walk from the train station and extremely close to the heart of Chichester. Getting to the grocery store downtown was very easy.

The property was spotless and quirkily decorated in a retro/modern/antique style. Everything in the kitchen and bathrooms was up-to-date and worked flawlessly. If it had been warmer outside, I'm sure we would have spent more time in the conservatory and garden, which backs up to the Roman/medieval wall.

I appreciated the good reading lights above the queen-sized bed as well as the ample storage for clothing and many hooks for towels. The wifi was password-protected and blazing fast. I kept the upstairs bathroom light on at night to remind myself that there was a step down then up from the hallway into the bath. (It was not a problem, but I did not want to trip in an unfamiliar house in the dark.) The house was quite large for a couple on holiday.

Management response:

Thank you so much for taking the time to review. We are really pleased you enjoyed your stay. If you fancy a trip to Chichester again please do get in touch. more

The property was extremely comfortable, even with a little boy. It was like staying at home, with all new appliances, kitchenware, design furniture and a lovely back garden. And located within a few steps to central Chichester. The only downside was the lack of a proper parking space, parking is not only not allowed on the street but it is not even possible to stop the car to take the luggage down without interrupting the traffic in a main road. The closest parking lot is 200 meters away but it is a short stay one so it is rather inconvenient and expensive.
Having said that, I would recommend the place without hesitation, it was a lovely experience.

Management response:

Thank you for your review and it is great to see that you enjoyed your stay at 104 Orchard Street in Chichester. It is a great cottage, very close to the centre of Chichester. Unfortunately, the parking situation is a common problem around Chichester but I am glad it did not disrupt your stay to any great degree. If we... more
