    Y Neuadd Lwyd is a family run business and as such our primary concern is to ensure our guests experience a genuinely unique cottage which is cleaned and maintained to the highest of standards by the owners themselves. We pride ourselves on attention to detail and aim to provide our guests with a personal touch looking after their every need from the initial booking enquiry, ensuring the cottage is spotlessly clean, the bed linen is washed and ironed to perfection, to greeting guests with a warm welcome and if required showing our guests how to set and light the wood burning stove. As there is no agent involved no additional booking fee is charged.

    Short break rates are also inclusive of bed linen and a basket of logs, however, you will need to bring your own towels.
    Electric wall-mounted heaters in all rooms, with a log burning stove in the main living area.
    A basket of logs, bag of kindling and fire lighters are included within the weekly rate of the cottage.
    Additional logs and kindling can be purchased from the owner or alternatively from the local shop.
    Electricity is provided by way of £1.00 coin meter - please note that energy costs will differ from season to season (on average £1 per day during the summer to £3 - £4 per day during the winter).

At Betws-y-Coed, continue on A470 following signs for Dolwyddelan. After 10km, turn left at cross-road in centre of Dolwyddelan village and continue for 0.1km. Y Neuadd Lwyd is set back from the road on the the right hand side directly before St. Gwyddelan's church.

    Y Neuadd Lwyd can be easily reached by train using the Manchester to Holyhead main line changing at Llandudno Junction. The cottage is 0.2km from Dolwyddelan station

This is a delightful cottage in an excellent location for exploring the area. The cottage was immaculate and very well equipped. The small courtyard garden was perfect for those odd blasts of sun. The only reason for a 4 overall was the Wifi which was very spasmodic. The owners are lovely and on hand as much as you needed them... more

We really enjoyed staying here last week, the cottage is in a great location for walking and climbing and Helen was very helpful with our numerous questions. The only surprises we had were that we couldn't get on the WiFi and we thought towels were provided but they weren't. Very minor setbacks to an otherwise extremely comfortable, peaceful stay. My other half, and I and two of our friends stayed here last weekend! We weren't expecting too much as it was very very reasonably priced, and it was Wales. Our aim of the trip was to climb Mt. Snowdon - and that we did!! The fact that cottage was just so lovely made the stay that bit more special.... more
