    Partridge Cottage is the ideal base to explore all the many attractions of the area from Historical Towns and City's, Country Houses and Castles and World Heritage sites.Venture further in to rural North Wales and the historic towns of Llangollen or Ruthin. Walk up Moel Famau (Mountain) and see Liverpool, the North Wales coast and on a clear day, Ireland.

    For the more adventurous, take a 4 hour walk up Mount Snowdon or if that isnt to your liking, go on the mountain train to the summit and arrive at the newly opened cafe (and refuge!). For the not so adventurous, take a drive around the North Wales peninsular and take in the delightful sights of the Llyn, Anglesey and some of the most stunning views in the UK.

Stayed here for a total of 21 nights during September , very nice looking house , set in a courtyard of other properties , excellent place to stay if your have a dog as there are spacious grounds a-joining the property . Car is a must as it is rather rural . Quiet a bit of farm, road and gravel drive noise, also moving around the cottage could be noisy as there are wooden floors beneath the carpets. The large spiral staircase in the center of the property would probably make it unsuitable for small children .Unfortunately during our stay we were unable to get the heating working and the thought of spending our vacation time watching it be fixed didn't fill us with enthusiasm !! Plenty of space I would suggest for 4-6 people , 1 double bed with 1 single in one room then 2 singles in another , downstairs there is a third room again with 2 singles . Didn't see too much of the landlady as we were out a lot . Kitchen was alright although we did remove the battery from the smoke alarm as... more
