The cottage is very conveniently located, a stone's-throw from the Royal Mile. It's comfortable and well kitted-out--altogether a perfect base. The owner's recommendations for things to do were also very helpful (for families with children, yes, the Camera Obscura is obligatory!)
Craigwell Cottage was one of the highlights as far as accommodation was concerned on our recent trip to the UK.
