    This beautifully presented city centre apartment sits opposite the Queens Residence at the Palace of Holyroodhouse at the foot of the Royal Mile, and only a few metres from Scotlands controversial Parliament Building. It is on the 3rd and 4th floors of a block housing 4 flats, surrounded by shared gardens.

    The setting could not be more central but it is set back from the road so suffers no excessive noise – even when Her Majesty fires the cannons. Almost impossibly, for its location, you have your own parking. A short walk places you at the heart of 1200 years of Scottish History (most of it gory).     There are always local taxis available - fare should be around £20 from the airport to the apartment. Please check with the driver beforehand.

Stayed In January during a snowy spell so was very grateful for the close proximity of the accommodation to Edinburghs sights and top spots as well as transport hubs. We stayed in this flat for 4 nights over Christmas 2012 with 2 kids and had a great time. Booking was no problem and we thought it was excellent value, especially for that time of year.
