4 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 weeks ago for a stay in June 2014

We booked this property for a week in June for my partner and I, my parents and our 11 month old son because of the location, the reasonable price and because it was a bungalow - so we would have no concerns about the baby and stair gates etc.
We arrived early afternoon (in two cars, and both of us missed the turning despite clear instructions, so drive slowly as it doesn't look like a road until you are on top of it!) and the property was all ready for us. This is a lovely, spacious bungalow with a large twin bedroom and two reasonably sized doubles - we comfortably got our travel cot into one of them with no problem. The lounge, with views from three sides, is large, airy and ideal for a toddler to potter about in - though we did have to move quite a few glass coasters and candle holders out of his reach when we arrived! The dining room would comfortably seat 8 and the kitchen, whilst not enormous, was plenty big enough for us.
We were lucky enough to have a whole week of...

5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 September 2013 for a stay in August 2013

Me and a few of my family stayed at "Roinnwood" in Lamlash on the Isle of Arran on the last week of August. This is a house ideal for up to 8 people and at £600pw, is a bargain in my opinion. It had a huge living and dining area with three decent sized bedrooms including two shower rooms. It has space for about four cars in the drive and a nice garden with picnic bench and stunning views with restricted views of the Holy Isle.

The location is ideal for the village of Lamlash and is only a 10 - 15 minute walk down the hill just past the golf course (slightly longer on the way back up due to the hill). The village itself has restaurants, cafes, bars and quaint shops, so you'll never be stuck for a place to buy things or to eat and drink. You also get the short boat across to the Holy Isle costing £11 return which we didn't quite manage :( I would recommend making a booking for the Glenisle Hotel, as the food is excellent although quite pricey burger and chips £11...
