Comfort and a bit of deserved luxury in our kingsize bed on the ground floor of the cottage
One of our cosy rooms on the upper floor, frsh linen and towels a plenty
A twin room, sleep off the fresh air intake of the day and be woken by the sun coming into the glen.
A well equipped kitchen and a view up the hill of the golden eagles in the evening..really!!
A beautiful walk into the village on the 'fjord' of Loch Odarain or a tough cycle
One of our favourite hidden beaches, Bosta on Great Bernera...not to far away for an escape

In the Isle of Lewis you need to travel no matter where you stay. Glen Gravir is ideal for travelling all over the island plus it is close to Ravenspoint and loch Erisort Hotel if you don't feel like cooking! The cottage was lovely very well equipped kitchen and good wifi. Would definitely book again. more

We took an early spring week in the cottage and it was excellent. Clean, fresh and well decorated, it is also spacious and well equipped and is situated in the most peaceful setting imaginable. The wi-fi came in handy for keeping in touch in the evenings. A very comfortable and enjoyable stay indeed and we will certainly return. Would highly...

We recommend the following three routes run by Caledonian Macbrayne:

Ullapool to Stornoway - Caledonian MacBrayne operate regular car ferry services from Ullapool to Stornoway. Ferries run daily from Monday to Sunday throughout the year, sometimes running 3 times a day during the summer. In 2014 our NEW larger ferry The Loch Seaforth will take over the service.

Latest check-in before departure for vehicles is 45 minutes and passengers is 10 minutes.

The journey is usually around 2hrs 30mins. The scenery on leaving Ullapool and going through Loch Broom is breathtaking. It isn't unusual to see whales and dolphins in the Minch.
