My wife and I (with our 6-year-old son) stayed here for 2 weeks over the summer of 2013. We have been coming to the Dordogne on and off for several years and can thoroughly recommend the area for a relaxing holiday. Perigueux has lots of charm and character with plenty to see and do in the area. It also has several child-friendly restaurants.
The apartment is a small studio with sleeping for 2 on a mezzanine level. Our son slept on a converted sofa, which was fine for him. The apartment has been renovated to a very high standard, with lots of innovative uses of the space available. It has been stylishly furnished to a high spec with lovely furniture, artwork and homewares. It has all the usual mod-cons of TV/Hi-fi and wi-fi.
The owner (Maria) and her family were particularly welcoming - interesting people who went out of their way to make our stay a pleasant, inviting us over to their farmhouse for an excellent lunch and afternoon.
