We opted for an apartment to rendezvous with my wife and son,travelling from England, and my daughter, travelling up to Paris from the Loire Valley, to celebrate the latter's 21st birthday. The plan was to have time together, and avoid renting 3 separate hotel rooms, where precious time together could dissipate into time isolated from each other. This apartment does what we wanted. It is spacious, without being sprawling, and it is comfortable. Home from home, almost.
Close to the Porte Maillot Metro station, and to the Palais des Congres de Paris, this is a delightful location, with high quality nearby shops and an abundance of choice for good restaurants, bars, cafes. It feels a safe place to walk around, whatever time of day or night.
Metro travel from Gare du Nord for travellers arriving on the Eurostar is easy, and to get by bus or metro from the apartment to all the central sites is very quick. We made it by 82 bus at 08:30am on Sunday morning to the local... more
