We (a married couple and a female friend, all about 65), stayed in this apartment for five days in late May 2013.
Mme Assad welcomed us to the apartment and could not have been more helpful in giving us advice about Avignon, its attractions and practical information such as the best places to shop. As we arrived on a Sunday, she also generously provided us with provisions for breakfast.
As the apartment is inside the walls, it is within easy walking distance of the Pope’s Palace and the museums. It is close to restaurants, a supermarket and transport. The apartment was spotlessly clean and the beds were comfortable. The free wireless internet worked well. We were out every day, so hardly had time to use the large lounge room or to watch TV. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking. We really enjoyed being in an apartment within the walls, which gave us an insight into the way people lived in Avignon.
