Description:
Rome Apartment Antica Giulia is located in a small street, just off one of Rome's most prestigious and beautiful streets the renowned Via Giulia, with it's beautiful antique stores and traditional Trattorie.
This fully refurbished apartment is actually part of a 15th century church and perfectly located only a few minutes walk to the world famous flower market Campo de' Fiori. A mix of modern and antique furniture; old paintings and original vaulted church ceilings, parquetry floors and richly grained antique wooden doors.
The apartment although better for two people can work for four, given that it's a short holiday stay - a compromise when renovating an ancient building in a confined space; doing the best one can with the little one has to work with.
Not luxury, it has been tastefully and simply decorated; the exquisite location is the bonus, making everything else almost unnoticeable. You enter the apartment on the ground floor, into a combined living and dining room which has terracotta floors, comfortable cane furniture, and a double sofa bed.
The fully equipped kitchen on this same level has a four burner stove, kettle, American coffee maker, microwave and everything you will need for preparing meals or snacks. There's a glass and wooden cabinet where some interesting objects give an added warm to the room. A powder room is conveniently located off the living area. A spiral staircase leads to the the first floor, with a master bedroom with windows that overlook the Tiber River.
The bedroom has a combination of well chosen eastern cushioned cane furniture and some interesting antique pieces and a modern spacious wardrobe.
The bedroom has fully tiled ensuite bathroom with a large shower stall. The renovation has been carried out without spoiling the character of the era.
