The surroundings of this villa are incredibly beautiful with many typical Tuscan cypresses and rolling hills. Nearby is the small village of Ponte a Bozzone, which has two excellent osteria, one of which serves enormous pizza at incredibly cheap prices. There is also a fun sculpture park. The villa is very convenient for the interesting historic town of Siena with its picturesque Piazza del Campo and impressive cathedral. If you can, try and catch an open air, late night music concert in the Piazza del Duomo. Florence is an easy 45 minute drive - look into the park and ride options. Rome is also possible - drive to Orvieto, park for free in the funicular carpark and take the train.
