    On the ground floor there is a large open plan lounge/dining area.
    The kitchen is fully equiped with a full size gas hob /oven, full size fridge/freezer, washing machine, microwave and breakfast bar
    The shower room is also on this level and furnished with a spa/power shower. wc and heated towel rail.

    There are uninterupted views of the garden from all the windows.

    On the first floor there are two bedrooms, both of which have twin beds and patio doors leading onto the balcony, which overlooks the garden. A perfect place for breakfast, or a morning coffee and croissant. (wild boar and deer have been seen on occasions) or spend an evening with a glass of wine, stargazing (there is no light pollution here).

    The property is located an hours drive from Limoges Airport with cheap flights operating with RyanAir from East Midlands, Stansted, Liverpool and Nottingham airports to Limoges daily. Flybe flies from Southampton to Limoges Airport.


    The new International Airport at Brive (50 minutes drive away) has flights operating from London City airport with reasonably priced flights with City Jet and Air France.

    By Car and Ferry/Tunnel:

    The property is approximately 8 hours drive from all the major French ferry ports. There are a number of ways to take your car across the Channel e.g:

Helpful owners, on hand to give advice about the area if required. Comfortable well equipped gite. Plenty of outdoor areas to sit/eat, including hammocks! Set in own grounds with lots of wildlife. Peaceful location, but within an hour's drive of many interesting places to visit. more

We were late booking, and after lots of wasted googling, we were lucky to stumble upon a cancellation for the 2 weeks we wanted at Las Chaumas. We stayed at this villa during a 'revisit' of the Dordoyne region after 5 years away.
