    The cottages are 25sq.m. and can sleep up to 4 people. Consisting of a open space with sleeping couch and kitchen facilities. The sleeping facilities are in the inner part of the house and next to that is a bathroom with shower. This is one of three cottages in the area, with one other identical house and another one sligtly different.
    Approximately 110 miles (180 km) from Reykjavik you will find the Icelandic town of Vik with the beautiful beach area Reynisfjara Beach in Reynishverfi . It is conveniently placed by highway 1 from Reykjavik city.

The Garðar cottages are perfectly located on Reynisfjara, the black sand beach. It's at the very end of the road closest to the 3 pointy black rocks in the ocean. We got in just in time before the storm swept in. Craziest weather in 40 years according to a local. The cabin is very cozy and very well built, I say this because we didn't get blown off into the magical land of Oz :) The roof stayed on as well! No broken bits and we were intact through the 18hrs of 20-40 m/s winds and rain. We could even see the gigantic tsunami looking waves from a distance. The water never got close to the cabin though. What did we do? We had very fast internet access so we could stream our favourite movies and TV shows. There was a tiny kitchen so we could cook ourselves some dinner. Everything was very clean, the bed gave us a good 2 nights of rest and the shower never ran out of hot water. Location makes this a 6 star accommodation I would say.
