DH and I wanted a place to go to escape the harsh winter. We had visited Malta before and knew a longer visit there would suit us. We chose Birzebugga as we wanted a quiet, less touristy place and were not disappointed. The owner, Chris, was quick to respond to our enquiry and sent us lots of information on the town and the area along with pick-up details.
On the way to the apartment Chris gave us a brief tour of the town. The apartment was as described and had just been repainted and left spotless by the cleaner. We were given written information (very useful) about the apartment and local shops with opening times etc..
The apartment really is only 3/400 meters from the bus, the bay and the main shops.
There is a market on Thursday mornings and several cafe's and restaurants down in Pretty Bay. There are several busses and you can get around the island easily without a car for €6.50 for a seven daytime (which h you buy on the bus) .
