The blue room is a rooftop (penthouse?) apartment in a recently refurbished traditional Maltese building. There are two other apartments on the floor below and the rest of the building accommodates travellers in a hostel situation - but there is no traditional 'hostel' feel about the place.
My husband and I stayed for a week and received excellent service from all staff and only had to request anything once and it was done. Staff were friendly and helpful if we needed anything and, out of hours there was a telephone contact number if required.
The building was very clean and the Blue room was particularly bright and sunny. We had two outside areas on the rooftop to sit and look down to the sea as well as having a sea view from the bed.
The accommodation is in the heart of Sliema with plenty of shops, cafes, etc as well as buses and ferries to take us to other parts of the island and beyond.
The Blue room would not be suitable for children because of the way the stairs... more
