    Holiday Rental House –
    1 Bedroom, 1 Bathroom, Sleeps 2
Rashfield Sheiling South is one of two delightful self catering Scottish log cabins situated in a gorgeous riverside setting in the Argyll Forest Park. Designed especially for two, it is perfect for a romantic break or relaxing holiday. Overlooking the River Eachaig, and south-facing to capture the sun, there's a real chance you will observe the wildlife and bird-life as you hide from sight in your cabin. Nearby is Pucks Glen, also the Botanical Gardens at Benmore. When the nights draw in, and the weather chills, snuggle in the warmth of the log-burning stove, or sit on the deck to gaze the stars in the black night.

    Additional Location Information
Argyll is situated on the west coast of Scotland, within just an hour's drive from Glasgow, and two hours from Edinburgh. Within Argyll is the Cowal Peninsula, an area known as Argyll's Secret Coast because of its undiscovered charm. You won't find crowds of tourists here, but you will find tranquility and stunning scenery, secluded sandy beaches, rugged hills and ancient forests, a land back in time and rich in archaeology.

Cowal is the ideal holiday location for families and couples. The main town, Dunoon, has many amenities for all ages, and there are opportunities for golf, fishing, horse-riding, mountain-biking, quad biking and stalking. There's magic and mystery at Pucks Glen, and the tall trees of the Benmore Gardens will delight. There are many country inns, restaurants and small cafés to visit. The Cowal area is perfect for adventure, relaxation and romance and for the gathering of those special holiday memories.

Beautifully appointed log cabin just the right size for two. Everything was new and well chosen, there was nothing missing at all, right down to the last teaspoon. Our bed was amazingly comfortable, and we had no need of the pillows we brought with us (we always travel with our own pillows as disaster has struck on many occasions)
The cabin is not as isolated as one might think and is close to the road which may disturb some people, but we didn't find it encroached on our time there at all. We travelled to Scotland for the walking and views, and already expecting inclement weather nevertheless we were very pleased to have a warm and inviting place to return to. A large flat screen TV with freesat was also a great addition to the facilities.
The key box is a great way to access the property, this way you don't have to worry about your arrival time, our host came to visit after we had been settled in for an hour or so and was very friendly and helpful. The information waiting...
