    Property description
    Holiday Rental House –
    1 Bedroom, 2 Bathrooms, Sleeps 4
The Pavement Palace is a unique one bedroom guesthouse, nestled amongst the shops and amenities of Hay-On-Wye. Famous for it's bookshops and International Literary & Arts Festival and now fast gaining pace as the best kept secret holiday destination of England and Wales. Hay is located in the Brecon Beacons National Park with it's beautiful rivers and fantastic hill walks. The town it self a maze of winding streets and alleyways all lined with curious junk and antique shops, clothes shops and galleries. The town is a rare thing these days being predominately independently owned businesses with not a supermarket or chain store insight. The Pavement Palace sits at the heart of the town, close to fabulous restaurants and cafes serving locally sourced fine produce.

This was the most lovely place to stay. I have never stayed anywhere that felt so stylish and so very comfortable. From the huge bath with piping hot water, to the enormous bed, wood-burning stove and cosy sofa, this was the perfect base to go exploring in the Black Mountains while still having all the convenience of Hay right on... more

Four of us had a few days in Hay and went against our normal form by picking somewhere in the centre of town rather than our usual rural location. As with all of Hay parking is not great but we had no trouble as we tended to be out and about by 10 before the dreaded uniforms could arrive. Also... more

The house is great - lots of wooden beams, a fire, great bedroom with en suite. The location is also perfect - right in the heart of Hay. Definitely, definitely recommended. more
