    Amberleigh House was the original farmhouse at the present Hurdlow site and has been refurbished to an exceptionally high standard with views across fields and the rolling countryside. You enter the accommodation into to the lounge with oak floors and leather sofas. Through to the rear is the fully equipped kitchen with granite worktops and traditional farmhouse dining table and chairs. A door off the kitchen takes you out onto your own private patio area which enjoys the afternoon and early evening sun. Also on the ground floor is a bedroom with two single beds. (they can be linked together as doubles on request) and a separate shower room with hand basin and toilet. A great location, great pub 15 minutes walk away, but let down by the interior. Bedrooms are small and characterless. There were not enough comfortable chairs in the living room for all 8 occupants (just 2 settees). There wasn't enough cutlery for 8: only 4 desert spoons and 2 soup spoons for instance. Many light bulbs had blown but not been replaced. Freezer lid was completely broken. Variable water pressure in showers. There was wifi, but you had to stand outside the property in the elements to get the signal, it was unreliable, and you had to pay £4 per hour to get the internet (how mean is that?) more
