Close by is the Torrs Walk and South West Coast Path. A recent addition to Ilfracombe is Damien Hirst's unique bronze sculpture 'Verity' situated on the harbour, which is a must see. Only 10 minutes by car are the golden sandy beaches of Woolacombe, Croyde and Saunton Sands.

We booked this apartment for a week away at the end of October, our group consisted of two couples.
We phoned the owner 20 minutes before our arrival, and he was waiting on our arrival to hand over the keys and show us around the property.
There was parking outside of the property, but between the hours of 10am and 6pm you could only park for one hour with no return within this time frame (this could be an issue for some). We purchased a parking permit from the owner (cost £30 for the week), which allowed you to park at 2 or 3 car parks in Ilfracombe and a couple of other places including Croyde Bay. We tended to leave our car at the harbor car park, approx 2 min walk away from the property to save having to worry about moving the car out of the permitted hours, and found it to be perfectly safe to leave overnight.
