The whole location was in excellent shape, everything was absolutely clean. The kitchen was very well equipped. The furniture was very well chosen and suited extraordinarily well to the lovely cottage. The fireplace was impressive. During our stay at Dormer Cottage the weather was so brilliant, there was no need to start a fire.
We were allowed to use the nice garden. There our visit at Dormer Cottage started with prepared English tea and milk and self-made shortbread that tasted delicious. What a warm welcome! The owner cared for everything. Every room was decorated with nice flowers.
Living in this remarkable cottage even gave us an idea of life in medieval times. It was a great pleasure to stay in this place.
We discovered the nearby area and had a great time in: Stowe, Hatfield House, Knebsworth House, Oxford, Cliveden House and Leighton Buzzard with its remarkable church and the wonderful wooden angels. By the way the church in Stewkley is historic... more
