    This woodland Cabin has a wealth of character and charm and provide a true log cabin experience. Cabin is situated in peaceful woodland settings in extensive, secluded grounds, approximately 250 yards from loch shore. It has a Visit Scotland 3 star rating and is spacious and well equipped.

    The accommodation consists of open plan Lounge, dining area & kitchen, double bedroom, triple bunk room and family shower room.

    The lounge / dining area, which has a high vaulted ceiling, has satellite TV, DVD, Hi Fi (via TV & DVD), sofa bed, easy chairs, dining table for six and a lovely wood burning stove. Front elevation is mainly glazed, to maximise views, with French windows opening onto a raised veranda area.

    Airport: Glasgow: 120.0 km
    Railway: Taynuilt: 23.0 km
    Directions by road:
    1. From Glasgow Take the M8 towards Erskine Bridge.
    2. Turn off on to the M898 and cross bridge.
    3. After the Bridge turn left on to the A82 towards Loch Lomond.
    4. Stay on this road until you reach Tarbet where you turn right on to the A82 towards Crianlarich.
    5. At Crianlarich turn left after going under the railway bridge.
    6. Just past the Green Welly Stop at Tyndrum turn left on to the A85 towards Oban.
    7. Follow this road through Dalmally and along the north shore of Loch Awe.
    8. Near Taynuilt Take the B845 towards Kilchrenan.
    9. Go through Kilchrenan and after 7.5 miles (seems further) you will arrive at Dalavich.
    10. The site is on the left hand side just before the village centre.

    Approx 2 hours from Glasgow airport.

Stayed many times here and really enjoy it. Only thing I would say is that I wouldn't want to stay here with more than 4 adults in total. I have usually just stayed with my g.friend and for that it's perfect. more

Lovely lodge with nice unique touches, has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Only things that would complete the experience would be free wifi and firewood. Will sleep 6 no problem not sure about 7 as says in advert. Approx 500 meters from loch side but a pleasant walk down. Very quiet location unfortunatley pub and shop were closed... more

Thanks for your review and glad you enjoyed your stay. Not wishing to split hairs but cabin is 250m from loch shore. The wifi is a tricky one; we make a charge as an extra as not everybody wants it and we'd have to put base price up to include in rental cost. Apparently the shop / café was closed... more

An a wonderful week at silver birch cabin on loch awe. Cabin decor was lovely and very cosy with the log burner. The caretaker couldnt have been more helpful. Spent the week mostly relaxing at this lovely location although visited oban and inverary on a few occasions. We hope to return soon. more
