We are on a five week cycling trip through the Alps, and stayed 4 nights at Chalet Alfonz. I did not want to leave! We were in the ground floor apartment, and it more than met our needs. Extremely clean, bright, with modern and tasteful furnishings. The kitchen had every convenience, and we had a huge patio overlooking the Bormio Terme. One evening there were guests upstairs, but we could not hear them. The free wifi was strong and consistent, great signal on the patio, too.
Parking space was generous, and the short road to the house is private, so it was very quiet . It was only a few minute walk to town, and there are 360 degree views! We did not use our car while we were there- plenty of food shopping nearby, as well as a very broad selection of restaurants and cafés.
Chalet Alfonz is located on the side of town nearest the Stelvio Road, so it is very convenient to start your bike trek from there if you wish. But there is plenty to do within walking... more
