This charmingly renovated rural building combines rustic simplicity with modern comforts. Situated a few kilometres above the main centre it is surrounded by fields where local people work planting and harvesting.
The grand views of the sea from the covered verandah and open upstairs decks are uninterrupted. These are great for lazing the day away or watching the sunset with a drink in hand. We had a Vespa which we hired at the port when we arrived. Transport is essential to enjoy this haven and the interesting village of Pianoconte. There is a super market here. Even with transport you have to walk two hundred metres on a rough track to get there. The Vespa was great for touring round the island and popping into town. There is a very irregular bus service but not reliable.
