Our accommodation (which had been recently and loving renovated) provided a fantastic base to explore Santa Vittoria and the surrounding hill side towns. A walk to explore the small town of Santa Vittoria on the first evening was a delight and allowed us to spy the surrounding villages and speculate on which was the most attractive and how far away they actually were by road. As a keen cyclist I was not afraid of the hills and was able to cycle to Montefalcone before breakfast one morning.
We ate out in both the restaurants in the town, enjoying the local pasta dishes and the different atmosphere of both establishments. We also catered for ourselves, able to shop in the excellent bakery/cafe and in both the small local supermarkets. We used the well equipped kitchen to cook some excellent meals.
We will certainly look to return in the future, we had just enjoyed a week at the seaside so concentrated on local attractions but we think we could get the best of both worlds in... more
