9 of us (2 grandparents, 2 sets of parents, 3 children) stayed in Wellington House for 8 days in October 2013.
We used the house as a base for day trips around the Ring of Kerry, to Adare, Limerick, Killarney, the Cliffs of Moher and Tralee
There's lovely beaches nearby in Ballybunnion and Ballyheigue - we went walking on both, but it wasn't the right time of year for sunbathing or swimming!
There are lots of places nearby to go hill walking and hiking, into the forests and out across the hills and bog roads. With the kids, we could out the front door and turning right and walk 500 yards to reach the start of the forests.
The house is newly built, really big and very comfortable. It's a detached house, set well back from the road in a rural area. There was plenty of room for all of us, including a second living room, where the grandkids set up camp with their toys, while the adults mainly stuck to the main living room.
