Having stayed at the chateau last week for a family outing, we very much enjoyed the beautiful scenery, the stylish design and of course the gracious host Trudy. The rooms were comfortable with most of them having four poster beds. Great quality linen and L'occitane amenities.
Unfortunately we could not use the pool and tennis court because of the weather but we can only imagine how spectacular the pool and the view from the pool deck will be in summer.
The region is heaven for foodies with amazing produce and surprisingly good but unknown wines. The chateau has its own herb and vegetable garden, although it was quite bare due to the winter.
The many towns nearby are quaint and nice with especially saint sever a hidden gem. Eugenie les Bains was great for its spa and the Michel Guerard restaurant there.
All in all, we loved the chateau and its design and sense of luxury. The region was an eye opener to us and the hosts made us feel very welcome. We... more
