What a lovely part of the world. So peaceful and a great place to relax. The cottage had everything that we needed and was very characterful (the odd bumped head, but it is an old cottage). Being woken by a cockerel each morning wasn't so bad once you realise he wasn't the earliest of risers anyway, with a very "french" attitude to his job. This made a superb base to explore the region or just relax and read a book in the garden wondering if you will see anyone at all that day. Very cosy living areas, and I don't mean small, just comfortable with mellow surroundings and some soft lighting.
The owners live next door, but are very friendly and happy to mingle or leave you to your own devices, whichever you prefer, adding to the laid-back experience.
All in all, just what we were looking for in a holiday cottage. Many thanks. more
