We stayed here for a week over the Christmas holidays. We found the location good, the general accommodation well cared for, and the sleep quality good as well. There were problems, however, bringing the overall rating down.
The positives first, and to be fair there are several. The village is convenient to the property and lovely in many aspects. There is a village shop, a very nice bakers, a pharmacy and some other small businesses as well.
The accommodation is well cared for, and sound structurally and fairly well decorated.
The beds are comfortable and the pillows and blankets while not abundant are warm and of good quality.
The kitchen is serviceable, and the fridge/freezer suitable for a short stay. Here some of the negatives begin to creep in. The microwave door had a crack in it making us uncomfortable in using it. The indicator light on the cooker had been pushed down into the hob surface leaving a small hole. This was more cosmetic...
