We used this place as a base to explore the New England area. Deb was a lovely host and if you give her enough notice will cook an evening meal for you, I strongly recommend the Pavlova as this was to die for! The animals around the paddock are very friendly and used to humans, the goat is especially friendly and if you have any left over salad, vegetables or fruit then you don't need to chuck it away you can just feed it to the goat he eats it all! You can join Deb at 9am as she goes round the yard feeding the animals, including pigs, ducks, chickens and geese plus the cattle in the fields.
The cottage is well equipped and maintained and can sleep up to 7. You can have a fire outside if you want, though while we were there that part of NSW was on a total fire ban as they hadn't had any rain for months. The farm is only about 15 minutes from Armidale and there are a lot of nice places to travel to locally, and if you ask Deb she will always recommend somewhere for you... more
