    General description: The Cellar is an old Arab cistern from the end of the19th century, refurbished in a three levels space, with spiral steps that connect between the 3 floors. It is a one large space without separating walls.

    It includes two galleries, a full kitchen and a bathroom with shower. It is well ventilated with a natural luminosity coming from the skylight that enhances the beauty of the place. It was constructed in 1880, below the surface of the ground.
    It was build then as a place to gather the rainwater, and was the source of water at that time.
    Children especially love it because of the adventure of living in such a special place. This Cellar is provided with an Automatic Renewal Air System + Humidity and Temperature Equalizer.

    2. Private Taxi Service: 'Daka 99' , cost approximately 50$ or 38 euro.

    They have to be pre-ordered via phone, but it's usually enough to call them when you get off the plane.

I visited the Unique Cellar with my husband and 3 daughters. We all loved it. It was clean, beautiful, and so special. Being under the ground--but with light streaming in from above, a spiral stair case; 3 bedroom areas and a perfect kitchen! The owners were so kind and supportive--they could not have been more helpful. It was cool even in 100 degree heat. We slept 5 people very comfortably. The location was perfect--right next to the old city (5 minute walk) and 10 minute walk to the center of town. REALLY SIMPLY PERFECT! more
