We stayed in Casa Mango for three nights in November. Bottom line is that this place is fine for the price, but there are better options in the area if you want to pay just a bit more.
The house clearly hadn't been used in some time. The fridge was unplugged, the stove wasn't hooked up and the bedroom light was out when we arrived. The sink had a leak that meant we had to wipe up the kitchen floor every day.
The windows are not screened, allowing bugs in. There is a mosquito net on the bed, but we found that we woke up with a lot of bites even though we were using it. A word to the skittish: this place is in the middle of the jungle, and there are plenty of bugs around. There were two particularly large spiders (think the size of the palm of your hand) who had spun their webs on the front patio. Again, it's the jungle so to be expected and not a problem with the property itself.
The caretaker, Valo, was great, as were his dog and two cats (at least we think... more
