I stayed at the Old Rectory for a week in mid November 2012. The house is wonderful with lots of period features and interesting rooms over 3 floors. Lots of wood and exposed stone. The dining room and kitchen are very well equipped and there are also a number of fine places to eat in nearby Newport which is a 5 minute walk away. The bedrooms are great, we had a lovely view over the garden, others look out towards the sea. Bathrooms are shared but very well presented. There are two living rooms, one of which has a lovely fire.
The garden is fantastic. We were lucky to have sunny warm weather so were able to use the extensive garden a little. Also there are many local walks and I did a big cycle one day as the "Tour of Pembrokeshire" group ride passes the end of the drive annually.
We had 10 adults in our group and the kitchen facilities felt pretty busy with that number. Many more adults and we would have had to eat in shifts. With kids you could... more
