This was our first time in Olhao and we can't wait to go back. It is situated almost exactly half way between Villamoura and Tavira so ideal for those playing golf between the two towns as we were. The town of Olhao is a wonderful, friendly town unspoilt by tourism so finding places to eat authentic Portuguese food is easy. There are several good restaurants down at the front and more hidden away in the narrow, winding streets. Locals bars seem to pop up every few hundred yards too. There is one just round the corner from the house with a very friendly owner.
The house itself is ideal. Just a 2 minute walk from the fish market and the sea front, everything is on your doorstep. It has 3 large bedrooms and the owners added a 4th fold-down bed for us as we required. All rooms have an en-suite or a bathroom next door. There are two roof top terraces and we used both, one for eating and one for sun-bathing! The kitchen is also large and well equipped.
