A HAVEN OF CHARM AND TRANQUILITY

Discreetly located on a quiet corner of Palermo Hollywood, La Petite Maison is a

wonderful place to taste the culture and spend time with "real Argentinos". There is

something delightfully bohemian about the neighborhood with it's offbeat restaurant/bars

and it's unique boutiques. It has a warm convivial buzz, not so hectic and pretentious.

Stepping inside La Petite Maison one can easily imagine that he or she has entered

a charming little townhouse in Paris. Windows are framed with old French shutters that

stretch from floor to ceiling in dark rich wood, creating a feeling of tranquility and

privacy. The furnishings are an artful mix of French and italian antiques with classic

contemporary touches. All were discovered piece by piece at auctions, antique shops,

and flea markets. Sensual fabrics were chosen to appeal to a sense of quiet luxury.

Collections of flowers, candles, mirrors, and old books create a beautifully poetic

mood, especially in the living room surrounding the fireplace. Neo-classic lighting

simply "glows" throughout the house, emphasizing the serenity and timelessness

of it all.

Both rustic and refined, the dining room is dominated by a large trestle table and

surrounded by eight Louis XVI chairs covered in delicious cognac leather. Whether

this lovely room is used for cozy dinner parties or business gatherings, it is sure to

promote an atmosphere of well being and casual elegance.

Just a few steps away, French doors allow a smooth transition into the kitchen.

The stainless steel appliances are enclosed in cherry wood cabinetry, adding warmth

and maintaining a traditional look with modern sensibility. Rugged marble floors add

contrast to black granite counter tops. It is a well organized space, both beautiful

and functional. The morning sun bathes the room with natural light and makes

it a pleasant choice for enjoying the first cafe and media luna of the day at the

breakfast bar or maybe outside on the bougainvillea covered patio.

Upstairs, in the master bedroom, the king size bed takes center stage. Again, the

use of luxurious fabrics for drapes, bedding and upholstery adds to the sensual am-

biance.

The second bedroom (with queen size bed) opens to the terrace and overlooks

the patio below. Both bedrooms have their own flat screen Televisions and air con-

ditioner/heating units. There is also an additional sleeping accommodation down-

stairs in the study that opens to the patio.

After almost two years, this residence has been completely revamped and trans-

formed. It is now a comfortable, lived in family home, welcoming others to come for

a magical visit.
