    Spacious 3 bedroom property in the Dumfries and Galloway Forest Park. The cottage has 3 double sized bedrooms, living room with wood burning stove, large kitchen with separate dining room with dining table and seating for 6, bathroom with walk in shower. 2 bedrooms upstairs and 1 bedroom downstairs. The cottage has a large enclosed garden to the rear with direct access to the forest.Outside there are tables and chairs and both a gas and charcoal bbq, large shed for secure storage of bikes etc.Small garden at front with bench.

    The cottage is fully central heated with a wood burning stove in the living room. Books, DVD's and games are available.
    The area is perfect for mountain biking & cycling, walking, fishing, star gazing, wildlife, exploring the area or just relaxing.

    All rates include bed linen, bath, hand and tea towels & supply of wood for wood burner.Dishwasher tablets, cleaning materials, soap etc provided. Rates also include central heating and electricity - no extra charges. No charge for pets. We have a large dog cage - please advise if you would like to use it.Please contact for weekend breaks or if you wish to leave arrive on a different day - all dates above run from Saturday to Saturday.Minimum stay is 3 nights. £100 deposit is payable on booking. The balance should be paid in full 6 weeks before arrival. If booking less than 6 weeks before arrival full payment is needed to book.We will also require a £50 fully refundable damages deposit - this will be refunded within 1 week of departure.Check in time 4pm, check out time 10am.

    Also from the A77 north, turn left (B7045 sign posted Kirkmichael/Straiton) continue straight to Glentrool(nice scenic route as long as weather Ok)

We needed to find a place that was warm, clean, well stocked, peaceful and were we could walk for miles. This cottages was perfect for us. After the surprise of finding that we were not a single cottage without neighbours we settled into this cosy, warm cottage and had a lovely stay. House was clean, tidy and stocked with everything you need. Beautiful surroundings with some amazing sights, if you like walking/cycling galloway is a place to visit. We crammed quite a lot into our short stay but the sights were amazing, we will definitely return. If I'm being really picky the only tiniest down side was no internet or mobile connection.... more
