Unfortunately, the only nice remarks is that the place was dry and didn't leak.. Which is actually a huge surprise.
Firstly, the photos of the place make it look spacious, it was crowed with 3 of us, considering it sleeps 6 I can't imagine having more in here. For payed accomodation, there are some things that are just inexcusable, even in an Irish country side cottage. The pipes freezing shouldn't be a concern if you're paying to stay somewhere - this ment we were 2 days without showers or running water. Even when the pipes weren't frozen, the water supply was pathetic, would have been lucky to get 1 shower out let alone flush the toilets. For international visitors, the 'Emerson' concept is fun to figure out on your own - there was no instructions or guidance provided at all. If there is wifi advertised, you shouldn't have to stand outside the farm house to access your emails. The second bathroom upstairs, (is a cupboard at the top of the stairs) embarrassingly has to be used... more
