It sits up on the hill with a prominent position looking over the bay and village. The house provides a tranquil haven as a base for walkers, anglers and wildlife enthusiasts.

    Ideally situated for both sea, loch and river fishing, coastal walks or mountain treks and with opportunities to view various wildlife including Golden Eagles, Sea Eagles, seals, otters and dolphins, not to mention the deer which may be feeding in the garden!     Two hour drive or bus from Inverness airport or Inverness railway /bus station. Car hire is available from the airport or railway /bus station, with most national companies.

    By Road : Directions from the South
    From Inverness take the A835 to Ullapool and then carrying on north to Ledmore Junction. Turn left onto the A837 to Lochinver. On approach to the village down the steep hill, take the right turning to Baddidarrach, which crosses over a stone bridge and the River Inver.

    After crossing the cattle grid, at the fork in the road take the right fork towards Glendarrach. You will find Inverallan on the right...

Just spent one week at Inverallan, beautifully located to discover the amazing Assynt region - if you like the wildness of North West Highlands, this is the place to be. Comfortable cottage with what must be one of the best views in the area. Can park two cars and the cottage is fully furnished with appliances, plates and other items... more

The perfect spot from which to tackle Suilven (situated about a 10 minute drive from Glencanisp lodge) and close enough to walk to the excellent Lochinver Larder (for some superb pies). With everything you need (apart from a dishwasher, but that's being lazy/ fussy) the views from the comfortable living room and kitchen are absolutely incredible. I've stayed in many... more

We had one of the most relaxing breaks ever staying in Inverallan. The location is great and the house was clean, bright and very comfortable. The views from the bedroom, kitchen and living room were absolutely stunning! We can't wait to return! more
