We had a last minute chance for a weekend getaway in Idyllwild, and we decided to go with a more cost-effective lodging this time.
The good: clean, nontraditional mountain decor, and amenities including a small kitchen, a fridge, and a microwave (altho it was in the bathroom), and a fully fenced yard for the dogs. The small dining room table came in handy, but we did not test out the stove or any of the appliances other than the fridge and microwave.

The not so good: when we arrived, the unit was dark and ice cold. We spent about 15 minutes stumbling round in the dark. It turns out several lightbulbs had burned out, and the water had not been turned on. We knew in advance that we need to press the red button to get the water heater going, but in the dark that was difficult to find. The owner did get back to us in a very timely... more
