    The restful tranquillity of the west coast is exemplified in the remote Highland village of Drumbeg. This beautifully maintained bungalow was built in the late 1990's as a retreat for an artist and his family. It is thoughtfully designed and tastefully decorated with his and other artists' work. The large picture window in the lounge has an inspiring outlook to the sea and coastal hillside. There is a pretty garden where visitors can sit out and enjoy the peaceful scenic surroundings.

    The house is situated on the edge of the village, offering seclusion, but the shop, restaurants, tea room and hotel bar are less than 5 minutes walk away.

    Self-drive is the best option. Hire cars avaliable from all major airports.
    Budget airlines fly into Glasgow and Edinburgh. Some airlines will fly into Inverness (Easyjet at time of publishing).
    Budget travel also available by bus. Citylink and Stagecoach operate services from Edinburgh and Glasgow to Ullapool with an onward service run by Stagecoach to Drumbeg.

a very roomy and airy house. It was well equipped, clean and warm once we got the fire and heating going. Very handy for fishing the surrounding lochs. more

Excellent cottage with everything one could wish for. In quiet peaceful village with super shop and hotel. Locals very helpful Surrounding area has fabulous scenery Only drawback Single track road access. more
