I spent quite a while online trying to find a REAL log cabin to rent for a cozy weekend for two in the Northwoods; most of them I found were big enough to host a family reunion, but I finally found the Ranger Log Cabin and am very glad I did. We headed up hoping to enjoy a weekend of relaxation, fall colors and time outdoors in nature - unfortunately we were a week or so early for the full color show. The Ranger Log Cabin is the smallest and most rustic cabin at the Timber Trail Lodge resort. We enjoyed the fact that there wasn't a TV or radio in the cabin to distract us from a relaxing weekend. The cabin is "cozy" - only about 14'x28' or so, but everything you need is inside: a queen bed, kitchenette with full size fridge, futon, table & chairs, and a clean but "cozy" bathroom with full size shower. Everything inside was in good condition and we had no concerns at all.
