We were told we had rented a place with three bedrooms and two baths that slept eight. We were sent to a place with one bedroom, no water, and no heat, Frantic phone calls found the owner and he redirected us to a place that he also owned that had three bedrooms and heat but not enough bedding or space for more than five. And we only made it there because one of our party was clever and persistent on the phone and managed to get his cell phone number and reach him while he was in an airport. Otherwise, our family would not have had a place to stay on a night with sub zero temperatures. The person listed as "owner" is a former employee of the owner.
The place was shabby and ill-equipped. For instance, there was crusty women's underwear hanging in the closet and trash under the beds.
