We just stayed at Grandmother's House for the past 4 nights - we were 2 families - 4 adults, 4 teens - and this house fit our needs quite well. It's representative of the community - a heritage home - that has served its family and community well over many years. In town, we were "recognized" as the family renting Grandmother's house. Local residents speak of it with great pride, likely because of the 'status' of the family that owned this home and their place in local history. The house itself has spectacular views of the morning and night-time skies - unbelievable really. It depends on what you call "luxury" - but to us - it was a wonderful way to be together as a family, in a home that obviously meant a lot to its owners and descendants.
The home itself is spotless, despite its age, and Stan and Jenny are readily available to help out with anything that is needed. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. more
