Everything worked great, stove, fridge, etc. The cottage is quite quaint with a real 1950's vibe (old pictures, old video games, adorable dishes). A true old-fashioned cottage experience.
We rented this cottage for a week with our two young sons. It wasn't really suitable for our young kids. The two rooms each with a double bed doens't really work for a family of 4 (ours weren't used to sharing a bed) and the walls in the bedrooms have bent-over exposed nails (not the safest thing).
The big problem was the stairs to the beach. There are over 100 and the stairs are old and uneven with no balusters. A dangerous situation for little guys (our 4 year old fell a few feet into the bushes and it wasn't easy to get him out). The roof is also loud if it rains and had a small leak (granted we had a monsoon week seemingly).
There is a lot of fun things to do in the area, berry picking, hiking, museums in Goderich, Also Bayfield is very charming. The beach is...
