Altitude140 tropical Far North Queensland Australia.
A140 is a private luxury retreat surrounded by tropical rainforest and set 140 meters above sea level. The 300 degree view takes in the Great Barrier Reef, Beaver Cay, the Family Group of islands including Dunk, Bedarra and Hinchinbrook. The property is approximately 17 acres of manicured lawns and tropical rainforest. Wildlife abounds on the property including the endangered cassowary. The red goshawk returns each year to nest in the valley beside A140 and raise its young, May to December. This bird is extremely rare with only an estimated 500 left in the wild. Other wildlife include wallabies, echidnas, butterflies galore, Hercules moths, possums, cockatoos and sea eagles. This is just some of the wildlife that can be seen.
