    Shalom House can accommodate 8 and is ideal for a family holiday, or for a group of friends to get away together.

    5 minutes drive (or a 20 minute amble along the tree lined, wooded, disused railway track), from the historic town of Tenterden, with its broad high street, fascinating little shops, plentiful eating houses and well equipped sports centre with swimming pool. Tenterden also boasts a famous steam train that will transport you to Northiam (where you can laze your time away in a boat on the river) or to Bodium, with its famous castle.

    Kitchen. This is large, and well-equipped with a dual electric oven and gas hob, combination microwave and washing machine and dish washer. There is table that can sit 4 – 6 people.

    Breakfast room. This adjoins the kitchen and the conservatory, and is a cosy room with a TV, two reclining leather arm chairs and a round table that seats 8.

    Conservatory. This is spacious and furnished with comfortable chairs and a dining table that can seat 10 people for meals.

    Lounge. This contains 2 sofas and other comfortable seating. There is television, DVD player. music centre, and electronic piano. There is a small library and a comprehensive information pack.

    There is also a selection of toys and games.

    Toilet. There is a downstairs toilet.

We spent 3 nights at Shalom House over the May bank holiday. The house is extremely well equipped and deceptively large; plenty of space for a group of 8, including 4 small children. We stayed in this property for a group retreat. We especially appreciated the garden and choice of patios. The kitchen is very well equipped and the whole house is presented very well - 4 toilets and 3 showers! Tenterden is a short drive away and well worth a visit. more
