We spent a delightful three days here in a cold sunny April. The cottage is warm and well equipped, with an open fire. It's very spacious and easy to use. Though a mile and a half from the sea, the sea can be seen from the front garden and Bamburgh castle from the back drive. We walked to the sea on one occasion, which was pleasant, but the road is quite busy - also a very short drive and it's easy to park free in Beadnell. Beach walks in both directions are wonderful (bring binoculars to look at the waders), and we also did a trip to the Farne islands from Seahouses to see seals and puffins.
The cottage is next to a working farm, so you may be woken by cows and farm machinery noises in the morning - we enjoyed this and went back to sleep. more
